SUKSIS’s objectives:-

a)    To shape and train the police volunteer officers with basic knowledge in police.

b)    To inculcate discipline spirit based on the knowledge, respect the laws and rules to start policemen duty as an officer.

c)    To mould the noble values of leadership, professionalism and high discipline.

d)    To shape personality of the police volunteer officers and able to give excellent services.

e)    To build high physical and mental endurances for teamwork management

The establishment of Kor SUKSIS Sultan Idris University of Educators (UPSI) is due to the initiative and findings between Y.Bhg Datuk Muhamad Rais bin Abd. Karim, Vice Chancellor of UPSI and Management Director Royal Malaysian Police, Bukit Aman on December 2004.

Therefore, process of recruiting started during July 2005 intake. Public Affairs Division of Perak Contingent Headquarters of Royal Malaysian Police initiated the process through physical tests and interviews. 52 people were chosen to join the corps and the first ever training was held on 13th August 2005. At that time, only two trainers were appointed to run all the trainings in every aspect and also the facilities of the members.

On the 1st of October 2005, three trainers were then added in the corps.

In the early of the year 2006, five honorary officers were appointed. They are listed as below ;

  • YDH ACP/KS Prof Dato’ Dr. Abdullah Al-Hadi bin Hj. Mohamed as the Commandant
  • YDH SUPT/KS Prof Dr. Aminah bt. Ayob as the Vice Commandant
  • YDH DSP/KS Hj. Mohd Najib bin Mohamed as Adjutant
  • YDH ASP/KS Saiduri bin Dollah as Outdoor Training Officer
  • YDH ASP/KS Yusri bin Yakub as Academic Training Officer

Do you know what is SUKSIS?

SUKSIS stands for ‘Kor Sukarelawan Polis Siswa Siswi’ or Student’s Police Volunteer Reserve Corps. It is one and only student police volunteer organization in Malaysia which involves only students in Public Higher Learning Institution (IPTA). This corps is established as training centre of cadet officers among the university students. It is one of the Royal Malaysian Police’s programmes where the officers are trained from the university students. The establishment of SUKSIS is based on the 1967 Police Act, Establishment Power of Cadet Police Corps (Part XI) and Police Volunteer Reserve, PVR (Part VIII)

SUKSIS is managed by Co-curriculum Centre in UPSI. SUKSIS also acts as police voluntary reserved that always in standby list to be combined whenever needed.

SUKSIS UPSI is formed on 13th August 2005 with 52 members. It was made up of 13 men and 39 women. However, 4 quitted which then left only 48 members to carry on their missions.
